Destoroyah Prop Interview
David Milner: I've heard that Bandai Destoroyah action figures were used in the production of Godzilla vs Destoroyah. Is that true? (Bandai, Inc. is Japan's largest toy manufacturer)
Koichi Kawakita: That's true.
David Milner: For which scenes were they used?
Koichi Kawakita: The Metropolitan Police vs Destoroyah sequence. They are seen in only a few very brief long shots.
Koichi Kawakita directed the special effects for Godzilla vs Destoroyah and David Milner conducted a number of interviews with quite a few members of Godzilla's production team.
I've also noticed the re-painted figures in the scene where the army battled the Destoroyahs. Some can be seen in the background of this picture.
